Medipath

Within this European initiative, Medipath plays a key role by leveraging its nationwide network and privileged access to diverse, real-world clinical data. Covering a broad spectrum of pathologies and patient populations, this positioning provides a strong foundation for the development, validation and scalability of robust and reliable generative AI models. Medipath’s contribution primarily focuses on the provision of high-quality, multimodal data derived from routine clinical practice, ensuring both clinical relevance and representativeness. This approach contributes to mitigating bias and strengthening the performance, reliability and trustworthiness of AI-based applications. In this context, the integration of digital pathology data, including whole slide imaging (WSI), significantly enhances the analytical capabilities and learning potential of the models. In addition, in close collaboration with France Tissue Bank, Medipath contributes to project coordination and governance activities, supporting the efficient management and alignment of data provision processes. The organisation is also actively involved in the structuring and standardisation of unstructured clinical data, a critical step to ensure interoperability and to maximise the value of health data within European research and innovation frameworks.
